Akraino delivers a fully functional open source edge stack that enables a diversity of edge platforms across the globe. Akraino’s sixth release brings three new blueprints (now close to 35 total blue prints!) and now enables support for robotics under elastic and non-uniform variable circumstances, smart data transactions for sharing data between edge nodes (including new capabilities with Kubernetes and Ainsable), and incubation work on a Rural Edge blueprint to make virtual education and healthcare more accessible across the globe.
New use cases combined with updated and existing blueprints provide an edge stack for Industrial Edge, enhancements to capabilities for Connected Vehicles, Public Cloud Edge Interface, Federated ML, KubeEdge, Private LTE/5G, SmartDevice Edge, AR/VR, AI at the Edge, Android Cloud Native, SmartNICs, Telco Core and Open-RAN, NFV, IOT, SD-WAN, SDN, MEC, and more.
All Akraino Blueprints are tested and validated on real hardware labs supported by users and community members — as a collaborative community, Akraino has established full-stack, automated testing with strict community standards to ensure high-quality blueprints are available in the open.
